Covington Bay--Episode 31
Angela and Hillary discuss Angela's new job at the homicide department. Hillary worries Angela will get her feelings for Eric get in the way of her job, but Angela promises it won't. But, when she arrives at the office, she runs into Eric and they instantly clash.
Before Angela's arrival, Eric was complaining about A.J.'s involvement in the James case and suggests A.J. was at the police station to do some poking around. Jake tells Eric that A.J. was at the station because of what happened the previous evening. Hearing that Victor Gianelli is involved, Eric can't believe Patricia and A.J. aren't in protective custody. Jake wishes they were too, but knows he couldn't hold them. He prays they catch Reilly and Slade before they get to the two journalists. Eric is concerned about his brother, but when Jake calls him on it, Eric denies it.
Melody is glad to see A.J. is all right, but upon remembering their problems, she tries to walk away. A.J. won't let her walk away and presses her on forgiving him and getting their relationship back on track. Melody doesnt know if that's possible. Beyond feeling betrayed, Melody says she realizes A.J. never intended on making a commitment, meaning marriage to her. A.J. doesn't deny that and says he loves her and wants to be with her; that's a commitment in itself. Melody's not so sure, but A.J. says they need to work on things and talk it out, telling her Patricia means nothing to him and to let her ruin their relationship is a mistake. He convinces Melody to have dinner with him that evening. But, things take a bad turn when Melody asks who was the woman A.J. nearly got killed with last night. Because it was Patricia, A.J. hesitates to answer, and Patricia immediately knows who A.J. was with.
Natalie is still cranky with Dana about using her to spy on Zachary and Dana is not sorry, seeing her actions as justified. Later, upon seeing Zachary, she tries to apologize for the paging stunt, but Zachary says he overreacted and that he should apologize to her. Agreeing to go on a date later that evening; they seal with a kiss, one that Danny witnesses.
Walter is angry that Richie is testifying for the defense in the Nathan James case. But, Richie says he has no choice; he has to tell the truth. Walter believes his son is either lying or being convinced by Nathan that he and Candice were lovers in order to get the police captain's son on the stand and make the department look bad as well as deflect from Nate's guilt. Walter says Richie is being used, but Richie tells his father he volunteered to testify. Walter tells Richie to stay away from Nathan and out of the case. At first Richie balks, but when Walter threatens to punish him, Richie backs down and agrees to stay away. But, he reminds his father he still has to testify for Nate. Walter says he's going to take care of that too. After Walter leaves, Richie receives a phone call from his mystery friend and tells the person they've got a big problem.
Pamela refuses to rescind Nikki's punishment, so Nikki comes up with a plan to solve
her problem. She knows her mother won't like it, but feels she has no choice so she can
continue investigating Candice's murder.
Covington Bay--Episode 32
Alec's memorial service is over and Kevin is saying goodbye to Gloria. They discuss A.J.'s problems, which Gloria learned about from Kevin. After Gloria leaves, Kevin talks to Melissa, the last guest. She asks him about his relationship with Gary Sorensen, and Kevin says there isn't one. Melissa wants Kevin to meet someone and fall in love and Kevin wants it too, he just isn't sure he's ready for that. The conversation turns to Melissa's relationship with Eric, which Kevin thinks should end. When Kevin sees Melissa's bruise (caused when Eric grabbed her the previous night), he asks her if Eric did it, assuming Eric is abusing her. Melissa doesn't answer, except to say that Eric is not abusing her. Kevin presses for an answer, but is interrupted by a phone call from Nikki looking for Richie. Melissa runs out during this time. Kevin vows to help Melissa whether she likes it or not.
Melody is angry that A.J. was with Patricia the night before and accuses him of being involved with her. She cancels their date for that night, but A.J. tells her what happened, that Patricia only got there because of her call from the contact. After hearing the full story, Melody is still doubtful, agrees to go out with A.J.. A.J. promises her she won't regret it and they're going to get back together. Melody's not so sure.
Eric taunts Angela with nasty comments and she tries to ignore him, headed for Captain Stone's office. Eric refuses to believe she should be in the office and tries to get her to leave. However, when Walter arrives, he asks both Angela and Eric into his office. Walter tells them that Angela is going to be the new homicide detective in the office, filling the spot left by Pete Cooper after his death. While Eric is surprised to hear that, he is even more shocked to hear that he and Angela are going to be partners.
Dana and Danny bicker in front of Zachary and he wants to know what is going on between them; he feels there has to be a reason they don't like each other. Dana says it's because of Danny's criminal background and because Dana's brother Pete and Eric Lassiter were responsible for Danny's last arrest. That is the reason for the tension between them. Danny mildly agrees with the story and Zachary lets it go.
Mama J. arrives with the news about Polly Johnson and her children being attacked.
She's an old friend of Polly and was notified of what happened by Rev. David Collier. Dana
and Danny both know the Johnson family. Polly babysat them when they were children. Mama
J. wants Danny to come with her and he agrees. When she asks Dana to tag along, Dana is
reluctant, but Zachary encourages her to go. Dana sees she has no choice but to go.
Covington Bay--Episode 33
Kevin nervously calls Gary and asks him to play racquetball and have dinner the next night. Gary eagerly accepts.
Nigel tells Monica of the plans to ruin the Lassiters. Monica is upset, and Nigel is worried about how the revival of the feud will affect his wife and Vicki. Monica doesn't think it will and tries to reassure her husband. Still, Nigel is upset about Quentin's plans, remembering how much the family feud hurt everyone in the past. He leaves for his meeting and Monica calls Hillary and asks if she can stop by for a visit. Hillary says of course. When Monica arrives, she tells Hillary she regrets pressuring Nigel to have a child because all it's done is upset and confuse him like when they first married. Hillary wonders if Monica really understands why Nigel is reluctant to have children and what the problems in their marriage really are.
Meanwhile, Kevin is at Alec's gravesite on the Lassiter Estate, telling of his intention to go on with his life at long last. As Kevin finishes, he is interrupted by a surprise visitor. It's Nigel.
Laura wants Zachary to try to repair his relationship with his father. Zachary's not so sure that's possible since they disagree on so many things, but Laura insists they have to try since their family has suffered so many losses lately and because Candice had spent so much time trying to repair the family. While doubtful, Zachary agrees to give it a try.
Danny, Dana and Mama J. go to visit Polly Johnson to see how her living son, Sam is doing. According to David, who is there also, Sam's chances aren't good since he suffered severe head injuries in the beating. After Mama J. and David excuse themselves, Danny and Dana are left alone. Danny accuses Dana on tagging along only to impress Zachary, and says she can leave. Dana insists she cares about Mrs. Johnson just as much as anyone else. Danny says Dana only cares about money and position, which is why she is after Zachary. He also says she'll never be happy with him since she likes life on the edge and taking risks. Dana says she had at one time, which is why she married him even though she was warned against it by her family and friends. But, Dana knows that kind of life only leads to trouble and heartache. Danny's return to jail taught her that. She has no intention of getting involved in that type of relationship ever again.
Angela and Eric are upset by the notion that Walter wants them to be partners. They both try to talk him out of it, but Walter won't hear of it and insists the two have to work together. He gives them their first case and they leave. Eric vows Angela won't last the week.
Later, Dana and Danny are still waiting for word on Sam Johnson when Eric and Angela
show up. They are investigating the case. As the foursome discuss the case, Eric opines
that the attack was probably gang related. Both Danny and Dana insist the Johnson boys
were not on in any gangs, but Eric thinks otherwise. Angrily, Danny insinuates that Eric
is being racist.
Covington Bay--Episode #35

Sabrina and Michael discuss Patricia's return to Covington Bay while they wait for
Lucas to show up. Michael doesn't understand why Sabrina wants to wait for Lucas, but then
he shows up. Lucas tells Sabrina and Michael that he can guarantee an acquittal for
Nathan. They wonder if Nathan might have killed Candice, and Sabrina says it doesn't
matter: getting him acquitted is all that matters. Sabrina leaves when she gets a call
from a client who needs her. Michael and Lucas continue to
argue, and Lucas mentions he saw Patricia. Michael wants Lucas to stay away from her.
Danny comes to see Nathan in his hospital room again, and Danny still insists he is going to be breaking him out soon. Nathan is still against this idea. Then, he gets a phone call from the unknown voice, who tells him he has a chance to live if he does something. Danny wants to know who Nathan is talking to, but Nathan lies and says a reporter called him. Abby comes in to see Nathan, and Danny leaves. After checking up on Nathan's condition, she leaves. Nathan gets another call, and the mysterious caller tells him to plead guilty if he wants to keep from dying.
Hillary and Monica are talking about Nigel. Monica wonders if she's foolish for trying to hold on to her marriage to a gay man. Hillary tells her that she and Nigel will have to figure that out.
Kevin and Nigel are still talking. Nigel tells Kevin that he knows now that he is gay, and can't change that. He goes on to say that he is happy with his marriage but will always love Kevin. They go back and forth, and Kevin says that Nigel is who he is because he's always trying to please his father.
Gloria asks Eric what he is doing. Mama J. apologizes for what she said about Eric, but
Gloria doesn't think she needs to apologize. Mama J. and David leave, so Eric and Gloria
can talk alone. Gloria tells Angela and Eric about her patient's condition, and then
suggests that Eric shouldn't be on this case. Eric doesn't like this suggestion, and
Angela leaves. Gloria leaves a few moments later after chewing out her son some more.
Covington Bay--Episode #36

Natalie is annoyed that she's been working alone for the morning, but learns that Dana has been vising the Johnsons, and apologizes for her insensitivity. Dana tells Natalie that the culprits will probably go free because Eric is on the case. Natalie thinks that Eric is a good cop, but Dana believes that all changed when Dana's brother Pete died. Natalie believes that Dana is still unhappy with Eric because he didn't find Pete and Lizzie's killer.
Eric and Angela talk to Mrs. Johnson. Mrs. Johnson doesn't think she can be of any help but assists anyway. She isn't happy when Eric suggests her children are in a gang, and mentions his reputation as a racist cop. Mrs. Johnson has heard about what happened at Mama J.'s with Danny, and Eric tries to explain what happened. When Angela gets Eric to leave, Eric gets mad at her because she cut him off. Angela tells Eric that she's had it with him, and can't be his partner anymore.
Monica tells Hillary that Nigel was the man who saved her when all hope seemed lost. She talks about how Nigel got her a job, and then went on to ask her out. She also tells Hillary about how she learned Nigel was gay, and how she couldn't give up on their relationship after that. She wonders if she's driving Nigel away, but before Hillary can reply, she's called away by a patient.
Kevin and Nigel are still talking. Nigel doesn't think they have any more to say, but Kevin continues to blame the breakup of their relationship on Nigel's father. Kevin tells Nigel that he does still think about their relationship. Kevin is shocked when he learns Nigel is going to have a baby with Monica, and tells him he can't do it.
Nikki is at the Covington Bay High School when Nina walks up. She mentions she heard Nikki and her mother fighting, and Nikki says that her mother just doesn't get her. Nina is on Nikki's mother's side, and points out that it might not be a good idea to look for the killer. Nikki is glad that her mother didn't learn she played hooky to go to the trial yesterday. The bell rings for class, and Nina leaves, while Nikki stays behind trying to get a hold of Richie. James walks up to talk to Nikki. He tells her to meet him during lunch, then leaves. Richie shows up, and Nikki wants to know where he has been.
Nathan is still on the phone with the mysterious voice. He's given a choice between
pleading guilty or being murdered. The line goes dead before he can make his decision. As
he starts to make a call to Sabrina, a hand grips his shoulder.
Covington Bay--Episode #37

Micheal goes to see his sister Patricia just as she is leaving home to see her editor, who wishes to see her. He wants to know why she's dating Lucas. She says she started to go out with him, but learned he hadn't changed after all these years. Micheal is glad that Patricia isn't interested in him. Patricia learns that Lucas is the P.I. working on the Nathan James case. Michael wants Patricia to tell her parents she is back in town, but Patricia refuses.
Kevin continues to tell Nigel that it's wrong that he and Monica have a child together, because he won't be happy with that life, knowing he is gay. Nigel counters by asking if Kevin has ever been happy as a gay man. Kevin tells Nigel his unhappiness has nothing to do with being gay. Nigel tells Kevin that he hopes the Greyhawk/Lassiter feud is over, but has to tell him something. Kevin walks away before Nigel can tell him anything more.
Natalie forgives Dana for bringing her to Mama J.'s the other night, when Dana was only there to spy on Zachary and Gloria. Dana tells Natalie that she knows now that Zachary is all hers, and that tonight will be something big. Meanwhile, Danny starts to leave Mama J. for an appointment, but won't tell her what the appointment is. Dana listens in on the conversation, and then leaves after Danny leaves. Danny goes to meet Jackson, and as they begin to talk, Dana shows up: she's followed Danny.
Richie tells Nikki that he left the phone off the hook, which explains why she wasn't able to reach him. Richie tells Nikki that his father found out about him testifying for Nathan, and that his father is going to try to take him off the witness list. Richie knows how important his testimony is to Nathan's case, and decides to take Nikki's suggestion that he talk to Sabrina about what has happened. He tells Nikki that he told Nathan about what has happened. Their teacher, Miss Jessica Jackson, scoots them off to class.
The person gripping Nathan's shoulder is Darian, who is getting ready to
sign Nathan's release papers. Darian can see that Nathan was excited about something, but
Nathan manages to cover his fear as best he can. Richie goes to see Nathan and tells Nate
that they can't see each other anymore.
